The Faith to Forgive - Another God-Cha!!

Earlier this week I wrote about the word I created ~ God-Cha!

I was given another God-Cha today.  I love T.D. Jakes and often I will listen to one of his sermon's while I clean the house.  Today I randomly chose this sermon:

The Faith to Forgive - June 12, 2011

It was not long before I realized I did not simply choose the sermon randomly ~ and not much longer after that realization I was no longer cleaning I was sitting at the computer typing verbatim some of the finer points of this sermon.

• Forgiveness is not a feeling ~ it is a decision.  The reason people can’t forgive is because people are being controlled by their feelings.

• You will never feel forgiven until you learn how to forgive.  The reason some of you do not feel forgiven is because you were never in a forgiving environment.

• Forgiveness is not about weakness it is about me getting control back of my life back.  It is about me no longer being vulnerable to your behavior. And what you did! And what you said! And every time I see you it elicits a response from me! That response means that my emotions and feelings are controlling me.  I am taking back control of my life you will no longer affect my mood.

During this sermon T.D. Jakes said he is writing a book about forgiveness.  One of the chapters will be called ~ Forgiveness is the gift you give yourself.  If the sermon is an indication ~ I can't wait for the book. I hope you find a God-Cha or two in this one also!!
